Paul "Eskimo" Clark: someone to watch out for
Paul Clark is famous for being an aggressive player at the tables. He is considered a veteran the age of forty eight. He has earned three World Series of Poker bracelets and he placed 62nd on the all-time money list. Clark has fifteen years of experience in playing high stakes poker. Other than his professional background and accomplishments, there is not much information known about Eskimo Clark.
Eskimo Clark is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. His appearance gave him the name "Eskimo Clark" which made a lot of people believed that he was from Alaska. He is a brilliant bluffer, his play style is quite unnerving and, his personality and approach on the table is definitely fearless. Clark's intimidating large physique and appearance completes the effect.
One guy, a blogger, who works at the International Poker Federation website, remembers his fascinating meeting with Eskimo Clark in a hotel. He said that when he entered the hotel room he's sharing with a friend, instead of his friend he found a large, nude man slumped on the bed. He was greeted by the large man like has was the one intruding. Turns out that the blogger's friend has been tricked in loaning their hotel room and the large man gave him a proposition through a game of poker.
The large man offered a deal telling the blogger to give him $ 1,000 to play in a poker tournament and the man wins he'll give half to him. The blogger accepted the more or less threat rather than a deal. The two went off to play at the Omaha tables, and to the blogger's surprise Eskimo Clark was really reeling in large amounts of cash. But he lost hard cash as well. The blogger noticed that Eskimo Clark was really excellent in winning but he was quite loose and bad in managing his payouts at the same time.
Eskimo Clark's winning hand was mostly a wheel which is a combination of an ace, two, three, four and five. He was able to spot his opponents playing with high cards so he did the opposite. It was a good strategy for him in order to get a better combination using lower card values. Eskimo Clark earned $ 20,000 from this proposition game. After two days, Clark asked the blogger again for a $ 1,000 for another round of proposition poker. There was no information if the two guys got off with the deal again or if the blogger got half of the bargain from the first deal.
When he is not participating in a tournament, Eskimo Clark is usually found at the Bellagio playing poker at the high stakes tables.
